- Blending
- Making colors, tones or shades flow together on the face. Used during face or eye application.
- Blotting
- A process which removes excess oil or moisture from lipstick or any other creamy make-up. Blotting also allows the make-up to set for longer, more-lasting wear.
- Blush
- Blush is used to add more color to skin tone. It should be applied to cheek area of the face and can come in the form of a powder, cream or liquid.
- Bronzer
- Used to darken the skin to make it appear naturally tanned. Should be applied after moisturizer, powder, concealer, or foundation products.
- Concealer
- A type of make-up used to hide or conceal unwanted spots and blemishes on the face. Concealers vary in tone but should match your personal skin tone as close as possible. Concealers are also great for covering dark circles under the eyes.

- Used to make eyes appear larger and brighter. They are applied before any other eye-make-up is applied on the eyelid and underneath the eyes.

- Eye Liners are used to define the eyes by being applied around the contours of the eye. They are primarily used to intensify one's eye color or make it pop more. Available in liquid, cream, gel and solid form.

- This product is used to make eyes stand out or pop more. It is applied on the eyelids and under the eyebrows. Eye shadow comes in the form of powders and liquids.

- Used to fill in brows or to make very light eyebrows appear darker and thicker. It can also help disguise and fix over-plucked eyebrows

- A powder used after foundation has been applied in order to make skin appear softer and absorb oil. Face Powders should match tone of foundation, concealer and therefore skin tone.

- This type of product is used as a base before all other make-up is applied. Foundations vary in tone and therefore should match your personal skin tone as much as possible.

- This product is used to moisturize the lips and protect from sun damage. Lip Balm is often used as a base for the lips before other products are applied.

- Used to make the lips appear shiny and glossy. Lip Gloss is also used for a plumping effect, in other words making the lips look fuller and smoother.

- Used to shape, line or fill in the lip. Comes in a smooth or creamy texture but firm enough to create definition around the lip.

- Used to add color and shape to the lips, Lip Stick is applied after a balm or base but before a gloss.
- Mascara
- Used to darken, color, thicken, lengthen or define eyelashes. Mascara brushes can be straight or curved and have either fine or thick bristles, depending on desired shape of lashes.
- Plumping
- A process of making the lips appear fuller or thicker. Uses a combination of liner and gloss or lipstick in order to achieve the fullest look.
- Primer
- Done before adding any make-up, including foundation. Primers are used to even out skin tone, shrink pores and visible lines and absorb oil. Make-up will stay on hours longer than if not wearing any primer.
